Hair loss is common in the menopause; you may find a hair supplement such as Hair Complex helpful.
Check your diet too and make sure that you are eating plenty of magnesium and calcium rich foods such as nuts and seeds, dried fruits, and dark green leafy vegtables.
Also make sure you are getting enough good quality proteins - your body may need more of this during the menopause!
The menopause itself often stresses the liver, and the liver does contribute to hair growth so doing a gentle liver cleanse at some point may be a good idea too.
You could try Milk Thistle Complex for a couple of months as this is traditionally used to help support liver function. Low iron, low thyroid and low vitamin can also cause hair loss so it would be a good idea to ask your doctor to test for these just to rule them out.
Itchy skin is often caused by lowering oestrogen levels. However, stress, dehydration and constipation can be contributory factors so do look at your diet and lifestyle as well and make sure that you are drinking plenty of plain water every day - tea, coffee, fizzy drinks don't count!
You could try a fermented soya supplement such as Menopause Support. This is traditionally used to help gently raise and balance oestrogen so may help to reduce symptoms as well.
Some women find taking a couple of cups of nettle tea a day can help too. You may find applying Neem Cream helps to soothe the itch.
Acupuncture is also known to help balance the hormones in the menopause so would be worth looking into.
