My bladder is not emptying fully due to enlarged prostate. This causes regular night time visits to the toilet. Any advice please?

It is sensible to drink plenty of water throughout the day to avoid your urine becoming very concentrated and then causing irritation to the bladder. However, try to avoid drinking water too close to bedtime to reduce the need for those night-time toilet trips.

I would also suggest that you avoid lots of caffeine, including tea and coffee, and opt for Green tea instead. This has been shown to be particularly beneficial for sufferers of an enlarged prostate. Alcohol is another one we should be wary about when dealing with an enlarged prostate (BPH).

Other than this, you could check out Saw palmetto. This is a natural remedy to help reduce urinary problems and frequent visits to the toilet caused by BPH.
