Persistent sore throat

A sore throat that persists for several weeks can be a sign of a medical condition that needs attention

Echinacea is a traditional herb known to aid the body in its fight against colds and flu by supporting the immune system – but not all Echinacea is the same! Research shows that the fresher the herb, the more effective the remedy will be, which is why our Echinaforce cold and flu remedies are made using freshly harvested Echinacea.

Hello Tracey. This could be the result of a persistent infection - either viral or bacterial. If it is the latter, antibiotics may be needed. As much as we would like to avoid the unnecessary use of this class of drugs, sometimes, it is necessary. Please see your doctor to get your symptoms checked out. If your doctor feels that the cause is viral, you could try using the A.Vogel sore throats spray containing echinacea and sage. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/sore-throat-spray/

Hello Mark. The first thing I would think of will be an infection in your tonsils which are lymph glands lying at the back of your throat. However, there are other possibilities and as your symptoms have persisted, you should make an appointment to get this checked out by your doctor.
