Putting on weight can trigger snoring, as can eating a lot of dairy products, which makes your mucous membranes more clogged up.
Hayfever can bring it on too. The menopause can bring sleeping issues - many women find it harder to sleep through the night - and this may have a knock on effect on breathing.
If you are getting night sweats, for example, they can disturb your sleep badly.
