Period pains without a period are very common in the menopause, especially at the beginning.
Even though your hormones may be falling there is still a 'monthly' cycle, not high enough to trigger a bleed but still high enough to give period-like symptoms.
You may find a daily magnesium supplement and vitamin B Complex helpful for this.
However, if the pain continues or starts to get painful then it is best to check with your doctor as well
