Spotting and mid-cycle discharge such as this is a common symptom on the approach to the menopause, and may happen for a while before your periods stop for good.
This is just indicating that your hormone balance is starting to change. Falling oestrogen can also cause low mood and joint pain.
You may find Menopause Support helpful as this is traditionally used to help gently raise and balance oestrogen.
However, if your discharge gets heavier or you experience any pain/discomfort then it is important to get it checked out by your doctor as well.
