Perhaps you would consider applying some Atrogel® to the area at least twice a day to add to the effect of the ibuprofen.
I'm not sure which joint of your foot is affected but you may benefit from better rack support, stretching your calf muscles or changing shoes.
A podiatrist would be the best person to advice on these practical measures.
