From about 45 onwards your hormonal balance can start to subtly change in preparation for the menopause.
These changes may not affect your periods for a while but can start to give other symptoms such as flushes, low mood, bloating, headaches, PMS symptoms which you have not had before etc. So this is what may be happening to you just now.
These symptoms tend to be caused by a dip in oestrogen so, as long as you are not on any hormonal medication/contraception, you may find Menopause Support helpful. This is known to gently raise and balance oestrogen thus lessening the symptoms.
Your doctor may be able to test your hormone levels and that would give you a better idea of what is happening.
