Hi Tricia Not sure if you meant warmer or winter months but I’ve not npbeen asked that before anyway and I’m not aware of any specific advice, so general it is. Tai-Chi, yoga and swimming are the recommended forms of exercise for those with fibromyalgia and being fitter in terms of breathing control and capacity will help breathing issues. Pain relief is a complex question, because it is affected by your level of physical activity and state of mind, so CBT and moving as much as each day allows could be as effective as any medicines. Our favoured pain relief is our Atrogel if you’re looking for a natural product.

I Have the depression the weight gain wet feeling on my feet migraines. Memory loss and a feeling similar to shingles when I'm really ill and down I hardly sleep yet I'm so tired at the same time I've mentioned this to my doctor and he dismisses this as if it's all in my head could he be right I just want to know what is wrong with me when I'm feeling like this.

Hello Marie I’m afraid we can’t diagnose over the internet as there is too much scope for error and this especially applies with cases of suspected fibromyalgia. There are many conditions that mimic fibromyalgia and so share it’s symptoms, such as menopause and low thyroid function. In fact around 25% of women are borderline low thyroid, which means the test comes back as ‘normal’ but you feel many of the symptoms as you’re at the bottom end of the ‘normal range’. Both hormonal changes and low thyroid can produce the symptoms you’ve described so it’s worth investigating these possibilities too.
