What is Herbamare®
Herbamare® Herb Seasoning Salt - not your ordinary salt.
Herbamare® is sea salt infused with 12 fresh, organically grown herbs and vegetables - celery, leek, cress, onions, chives, parsley, lovage, basil, marjoram, rosemary, thyme and kelp. These ingredients lend flavour to your food but contain less salt than you normally use.
Herbamare® is still made today in the same way that A.Vogel first created it.Every ingredient and process is carefully considered to ensure that Herbamare® is as fresh and natural as possible.
The salt used in Herbamare® is harvested under strict quality and safety and does not undergo any chemical treatment . After harvesting, it is purified by successive washing with brine (water saturated with salt) and then dried. The impurities are eliminated, leaving a natural white salt. It is not until the salt is added to the organic vegetables and herbs that Herbamare® acquires its characteristic colour.

100% of the vegetables and herbs used in Herbamare® come from carefully selected growers who are certified by approved biological control organisations. The vegetables and herbs are grown according to organic traditional culture not only to ensure quality products but also to preserve the environment. The quality of the vegetables is controlled by the farmer at harvest. Delivery of these vegetables takes place less than 8 hours after harvest to guarantee freshness. Upon arrival the vegetables undergo stringent checks for identification, quality and cleanliness.
The complete manufacturing process and unique recipes of Herbamare® were developed by Alfred Vogel himself.
During the manufacture of Herbamare®, we use 1/3 vegetables and 2/3 salt. These proportions allow maximum fresh ingredients to ensure the microbiological safety of Herbamare® and the perfect balance of salt and vegetables thanks to its unique process. Systematic controls are in place throughout the production chain to ensure cleanliness throughout.
Herbamare® contains no anti-caking or other chemical additives. We don't use any flavourings or additional emulsifier, preservatives and other food additives. It's all natural! Herbamare® are products of certified farming. Certification is according to the regulations of the control agency Ecocert.
